Create their own magazine!

• Decide on a topic that interests them.

• Think about what ‘articles’ they’d like to read.

• Could they interview an ‘expert’?

• Consider what images would be good. Can they take some themselves?

• What will the cover be like? They’ll need a name, and to design it for the cover.

• Will they make a physical copy, or do they have access to computer software? Canva is a great free resource that they could easily use.

• Would they like to make multiple copies to distribute (obviously this will have a cost involved) or could it be an online-only publication which they can save as a PDF and send out to anyone who might like it?

However far they take it, it’s a great way to get them doing something which is of real interest to THEM.
