Embrace the Weird and Wonderful
Create the most weird and wonderful collage you can!
What’s the weirdest combination of images cut out of a selection of magazines that you can find and create?
Think about finding images from a variety of magazines - ask friends and family with different interests - the more variety the better.
Ebay and second-hand shops often have a good selectionold magazines or old books too.
First, rip out pages with random images on that might be useable, until you have a nice pile of them ready to go.
Choose a few of them which might work well together. Remember, the weirder the better!
Play with scale - this makes it even more strange! For example, a large ice cream sundae glass with a person coming out of it, with a fish for a hat, against the backdrop of a desert (random example or what?! But more random = good!)
When the collage is done, maybe they could frame it? Or stick it to a blank card to send to someone?
These examples above are from ‘East of Honey’ who has a great YouTube channel with inspiration and tips on collage-making.
