The Urban Landscape
🏙️ Look at all the reflections which bounce around a city! Through windows, shiny mirrored surfaces, puddles. Take photos of different viewpoints through focusing on reflections.
🏙️ Play spot the rucksack. See how many rucksack wearers you can spot. Or only green ones, or patterned ones, or ones with a fluffy keyring attached!
🏙️ Listen for the sounds of the city. What’s the most common? What would you expect to hear least often? Can you find that sound? Like hidden treasure!

🏙️ Follow someone and see where it takes you! Not in a creepy way, just let someone else guide you. You may find yourself exploring new parts of the city. Obviously don’t go anywhere you don’t want to go, or which looks dodgy. And don’t follow them so much that they realise! It could be a fun activity though, trying to keep up or having to slow down.
🏙️ Let your child decide! Go into the city and see where and what they want to do - and you HAVE to do the same, and say yes (within reason!). Give them a map (an old-fashioned paper or they can use their phones of course!) and get them to buy travel tickets and work out where to go etc. Will they do exactly what they want to do, or will they take into account that you’re doing it to? Would be interesting to find out!
