Beside the Seaside!
🌊 Make a seagull stand on your head. Now you could try this literally if you want to, but if not, try doing it with your camera to make it ‘look’ like the seagull is on someone’s head. It’s all about the positioning of the person and the photographer!
🌊 ‘Stone in my ice-cream’ (true story🥲!) Think of all the memories you have of the seaside (good and bad) and see if you can describe each one in a single line. Then create a poem of all your memories. Record yourselves saying it, or write it down (or even just write their favourite one line in the sand and take a photo!)
🌊 Funny walk speed challenge. Think of different funny walks and have races on the beach while doing them! (Knees together at all times; Backwards; Blindfolded (careful!); Hopping; Wheelbarrow race; Piggy-back, etc etc)
🌊 Voice-Over Seagulls. While you’re eating your Fish & Chips [*other seaside food is available!], and the seagulls swarm around you, watch them and see if you can add a VoiceOver to what they might be saying… Have a conversation with each other, prompted by what the seagulls do / where they look / how tempted they are to steal ‘Majorie’s chips who’s sitting over there with her friend’? etc!
🌊 Draw or write ANYTHING in the sand.
Play Hangman!
Draw something and see who is first to guess what it is.
Write a message to someone and take a photo of it to send to them.
Or just write a nice message for a stranger to find.
🌊 Challenge them to take ‘non-obvious’ seaside photos. Can they get a different perspective of what it means to be ‘by the sea’? What can they take a photo of which still says ‘seaside’ but is perhaps not what would come up if they Goggled the word?
🌊 If it’s sunny, stand leaning over slightly in a circle so your shadows are on the sand - draw faces in each shadow ‘head’ and take a ‘family photo’!
