Apologies, but this will probably appeal to a lot of teenagers!
Leave a secret message for someone
This could be on a steamy window in public, e.g a cafe or a supermarket.
Obviously leave a nice message! You could hide and watch from a distance to see who reads it, or just leave, knowing that you’ve made someone’s day.
Graffiti on steamy windows
While travelling (when they get steamed up and if the ‘adults’ allow it!), you can use your finger to ‘draw’ on the window (we’ve all done it, right?!) The others have to guess what they’re drawing or writing. Maybe write something backwards, as if it’s for someone outside?
Open the curtains!
Get up for sunrise (luckily not that early in winter)! Watch as the light changes. Are you brave enough to go outside and do this? Wrapped in a blanket, maybe with a hot chocolate?
Watch a sunset
Find a spot where you get the best view. Take a blanket and some chairs, a flask of hot chocolate perhaps, and spend some time just watching the sky as it changes colour and the light fades. Remember a torch for getting back home! (See Conversation Starters for ideas on what to ‘talk about’ while you’re there)
Play ‘Who’s inside Santa’s Suit?'
(Best if a few people play along). Ask everyone to think of a famous person, and then think about how they would play the role of Santa if they had to.
Each person then gives clues about their Santa and the others have to guess who the famous person is inside Santa’s suit!
For example, if Usain Bolt dressed as Santa:
he’d be super fast to deliver the presents (faster than the ‘real’ Santa infact!);
he’d make sure he ‘locked’ the presents up beforehand (with a bolt!);
he might deliver them to Jamaica first; etc etc…
